With a camping season that runs comfortably from May to September, the Gulf Islands are a wonderfull place to paddle and to expore.
What many persons do not know is that the climate of these islands is probably the mildest and driest to be found around Vancouver Island - if not Canada. These Gulf Island kayak camping tours are for persons who are seeking wilderness isolation with a touch of creature comforts offered by our visit to one resort or community enroute.

3 DAY GULF ISLANDS KAYAK CAMPING
Our three day Gulf Islands tour begins near Sidney, just north of Victoria.
Our first night's camp can be either at Discovery or Darcy Island (a former
leper colony). Our second night's campsite can be on Sidney or Portland
Island Marine Parks Both of these parks offer great forest hiking and even great beaches and ocean swimming. An alternative is to camp at Beaumont Marine Park on South Pender Island. This campsite is convenient for hiking to the summit of Mount Norman and visiting the pool and hot tub at Poets Cove Resort.

5 DAY GULF ISLAND KAYAK CAMPING
Our kayak tour also begins and ends
in Sidney. Islands we can visit include Sidney, Portland, Saltspring, Isle de Lise, Pender and Cabbage. Cabbage is a an isolated island, featuring sandy beaches
for camping, and shallow warm waters for swimming and for those
so inclined, practicing
kayak skills. Kayaking between these islands often produces surprises such as dolphins, sea lions and Killer Whales.
