TOUR C- 5 DAY SOUTHERN GULF ISLAND-KAYAKING TREK ..
This kayak tour  begins and ends in  Victoria.  After a visit to Discovery Island, we head north along the international border to visit some of the least explored areas of the southern Gulf islands.  Our Giant Canoe is used as a support vessel. Campsites we will visit include Sidney Island, Portland Island, Isle de Lise and Cabbage Islan
d marine parks. Cabbage is a an isolated island, featuring sandy beaches for camping, and shallow  warm waters for swimming and for those so inclined, pracour Giant Canoe is large enough to carry 10 paddlers , thie kayaks and gear for camping tours of a week or moreticing kayak skills.  Located to the east of  Saturna island,  Cabbage Island features panoramic views of the straits and mainland Canada.  This island is also a convenient base from which to explore the fascinating cliffs and  sandstone formations  of Tumbo Island adjacent.  An optional side tour of the American San Juan islands may also be included.

Our  return trip to Victoria in the open straits often produces surprises such as dolphins, sea lions and killer whales. With a camping season that runs comfortably from March to November, this region of the gulf Islands is probably the mildest and driest to be found around Vancouver Island - if not Canada.  This kayak camping tour is for persons who are seeking a more relaxed pace - and some of the creature comforts that only a 47 foot support vessel (our Giant Canoe) can provide.

Experience Level: no experience required, but a moderate level of fitness is desireable for paddlers

TOUR D-7 Day JOHNSON STRAIT & BROUGHTON ARCHIPELAGO TOUR
The main fascination this area holds is the pods of Killer Whales which congregate in the waters of Johnson Strait to feed and to socialize and to rub their bodies on the pebble beaches of Robson Bight. There is nothing as impressive, if not humbling as to paddle with these giants of the seas. While you may not be lucky enough to get close enough to see the cutting edge of a 2 meter dorsal fin streaking by you,
or be surprised by their thunderous breath, there is a good chance you will see them spouting and leaping from afar - still a magical and awe inspiring sight to behold. But this area has much more to offer explorers; myriads of desolate islands, protected coves and beaches, ancient village sites, wildlife, and Much beauty and serenity, especially as one heads towards the many islands which make up the Broughton Archipelago - a   paddlers' "wanderland".

The dorsal fins on Killer Whales can exceed 2 meteres in height, and can be seen from a great distance

We begin our ocean journey at Telegraph Cove (just south of Port McNeil) and head south-east along the coast past the fabled rubbing beaches of Robson Bight before turning north to visit West Cracecroft Island and other interesting islands such as Harbledown, Compton and Village islands. We will make time to visit the intriguing native museum at Alert Bay.

Price 7 Day (7 night) Kayak Tour: $1050. Can. all inclusive for paddlers. Minimum 4  max 10 paddlers.

Includes all food, kayaking and camping equipment, dry bags, park fees, as well as all van transfers between Victoria (or Nanaimo) and Telegraph Cove. It excludes food while on the road.
Experience Level: A moderate level of experience and good level of fitness is desireable for paddlers

TOUR E- 6 DAY DESOLATION SOUND

This mountain-fringed stretch of our B.C. coast is our favourite paddling area. First mapped (and named) by a rather disenchanted Captain Vancouver in the late 19th century, Desolation Sound now plays host to boaters from around the world. And no wonder: the area is a huge natural playground, featuring rugged undisturbed coastlines, grand mountain vistas, sheltered coves and beautiful campsites, many of them located adjacent warm fresh water lakes and waterfalls. The weather is exceptionally warm and dependable from mid summer to late fall with ocean waters warming to swimmable temperatures during the summer! When you visit, you will agree that Desolation Sound is heaven for not only oysters but enchanting for adventurers as well.
Desolation Sound features incredible mountain vistas and the warmest ocean waters to be found noerth of Mexico - warm enough for swimming (if you are a Canadian)

Our kayak adventure begins and ends at Rebecca Spit on Quadra Island (across from Campbell River) some  270  km north of Victoria*. This protected cove is perfect for organizing our gear and for practicing, if not learning the basics of kayaking. Islands we will visiting enroute include Reid, Cortes, Marina and West Redonda. We will establish as many as 4 camp sites on our 6 day tour.

Expect to participate in some lively evening campfires and sing-songs. There is room aboard our Canoe to bring along skin diving gear, and musical instruments. You will note that our tour date coincides with the best time of year to visit this area - a time of warm weather and calm, and low numbers of visitors. It is also the time of the full moon. one of many waterfalls in the Desolation sound area you can bathe in

Price 6 Day Kayak Mothership Tour: $1150. Can. all incl. Minimum 4 persons. max 10.
Date: anytime for organized groups
Includes all food, kayaking and camping equipment, dry bags, use of Whaling Canoe and inflatable, guides, fishing gear, and park fees. We leave from Lund. Price excludes fishing licenses.
Experience Level: no experience required, but a good level of fitness is desireable for paddlers. We will make considerable use of the Giant Whaling canoe to traverse the larger open stretches of ocean.

TOUR F -RAINFOREST TO OCEAN KAYAK AND CAMPING (or CABIN-BASED) ADVENTURE (2 day camping tour $350. 3 day tour $500) -

This tour focuses on the beaches and rivers of the Port Renfrew area (this West Coast location is a 2 hour scenic drive from Victoria). It is our most popular tour as it provides adventurers with aDougls Fir trees - some as high as 100 metres can be found in the vicinity of Port Renfrew (Including Canada's largest Fir) wide variety of things to do - all within convenient hiking/walking distance from our base camp on the ocean. these tidal pols attract large numbers of international visitors - but make sure you time your tides!

Activities can include kayaking both river and ocean, surfing , visiting Botanical Beach, hiking the San Juan Trail and swimming in fresh water lakes. One of the highlights is camping on a wide expanse of beach which is open to the huge ocean waves of the Pacific. There is drift wood aplenty on this beach to build the fires of your imaginations!
